Sealing Material

Nitrile has good mechanical properties when compared with other elastomers and high wear resistance. Unless they are specially compounded, Nitrile is not resistant to weathering, sunlight and ozone. This compound has a relatively high acrylo content, making it exceptionally resistant to petroleum base oils and hydrocarbon fuels.

Working Temperature Range: -20° C to +100° C

H-NBR is widely known for its physical strength and retention of properties after long-term exposure to heat, oil, and chemicals. Depending on filler selection and loading, HNBR compounds typically have tensile strengths of 20 – 31 MPa when measured at 23°C.

For low-temperature performance, low ACN grades should be used; high-temperature performance can be obtained by using highly saturated HNBR grades with white fillers. As a group, H-NBR  elastomers have excellent resistance to common automotive fluids (e.g., engine oil, coolant, fuel, etc.) and many industrial chemicals. Like NBR, fluid and chemical resistance improves as the ACN content is increased.

Working Temperature Range: -20° C to +150° C

Fluorocarbon elastomers exhibit excellent resistance to high temperature and low compression set. They respond very well with resistance to ozone, high temperatures, oxygen, mineral oil, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatics and many organic solvents and chemicals. Low temperature resistance for static applications is limited to approximately –40°F (–40°C) under special formulation.

Working Temperature Range: -30° C to +200° C

EPDM is the least costly and provides better tear and abrasion resistance compared to peroxide-cured compounds. EPDM compounds are frequently used with foods, water, steam and phosphate ester fluids (Skydrol) applications and offer the excellent resistance to brake fluids (glycol base), weather, and ozone. EPDM’s are not used with petroleum oils or fuels because significant swelling would result.

Working Temperature Range: -55° C to +150° C

Silicone compound are excellent dry heat resistance. Silicone has the best low temperature flexibility of all elastomers and can be used in static applications down to -150°F. Silicones  also has good resistance to ozone and weather. It also proves to be a good insulator. It is not recommended for dynamic conditions due to its low tensile and tear strength.

Working Temperature Range: -70° C to +150° C

Neoprene is an all purpose elastomer and an extremely versatile synthetic rubber used in thousands of applications. This rubber resists degradation from sun, ozone and weather and performs well in contact with oils and chemicals. Also it maintains its strength, flexing, twisting and elongation very well over a wide temperature range while having outstanding physical toughness.

Working Temperature Range: -35° C to +125° C

PolyTetra Fluoro Ethylene is commonly abbreviated PTFE. From PTFE we make Backup Rings, O Ring, which is mainly in use for Hydraulic Industry, Valve Industry. Mechanical properties are often enhanced by adding fillers. It has excellent thermal and electrical insulation properties and a low co-efficient of friction.

Working Temperature Range: -60° C to +200° C

GFTis mostly used filler in various percentage (5%,10%,15% and 25%), it improves creep resistance both at low and high temperatures and also chemically stable.

Working Temperature Range: -50° C to +220° C

CFT is mostly used filler in various percentage (5%,10%,15% And 25%), it improves creep resistance both at low and high temperatures and also chemically stable.

Working Temperature Range: -50° C to +220° C

Used in dynamic sealing applications where the bronze filler gives improved wear resistance, hardness and compressive strength. The electrical properties and chemical resistance are reduced. Molybdenum disulphide improves the self lubrication.

Working Temperature Range: -50° C to +240° C

PU is premium polyurethane for superior sealing performance for use in general hydraulic applications (Not suitable for hot water), it has excellent mechanical properties such as high tensile strength, abrasion resistance, tear strength, and extrusion resistances.

 Working Temperature Range: -30° C to +110° C

PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is ahigh-performance engineering plastic with outstanding resistance to harsh chemicals, and excellent mechanical strength and dimensional stability. It offers hydrolysis resistance to steam, water, and sea water.

Working Temperature Range: -30° C to +250° C

Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE, UHMW) is a subset of the thermoplastic polyethylene. Also known as high-modulus polyethylene, (HMPE), or high-performance polyethylene (HPPE), it has extremely long chains, with a molecular mass usually between 3.5 and 7.5 million. The longer chain serves to transfer load more effectively to the polymer backbone by strengthening intermolecular interactions. This result in a very tough material, with the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic presently made.

Working Temperature Range: -100° C to +180° C
